Billion Dollar Boy is thrilled to be the first and only influencer marketing agency to be named as one of Europe’s fastest-growing companies by the Financial Times.
The fifth annual FT 1000, in association with research company Statista, is one of the business world’s most respected league tables, ranking companies from 31 European countries based on the highest percentage annual growth rate in revenues between 2016 and 2019.
Billion Dollar Boy debuts as the highest-ranking agency of the 135 UK and Ireland based companies. Between 2016 and 2019, the agency’s compound annual growth rate was 118%.
As the industry has matured and proven itself to be effective, influencer marketing spend has grown to over $9.7B annually, according to data from the Influencer Marketing Hub. Billion Dollar Boy has outgrown the industry by 62%, despite the number of competitors growing substantially (+235% more competitors than 2016).
Despite COVID-19, BDB has continued its exceptional growth – taking time to develop relationships with clients and grow the team and structure of the organisation. The agency now has a total of 85 employees (+100% yearly growth) across its London, New York and New Orleans offices.
Billion Dollar Boy has evolved from a small group of determined and talented individuals to become a recognised global creative agency for the influencer age.
Commenting on the achievement, Edward East, founder and CEO said: “We are all incredibly proud of to have been named in the FT 1000 and would like to thank our wonderful team, clients and partners. The last few years have seen us make strong progress as a business – in terms of revenue growth, recruitment, innovative use of digital technology and expansion of our client base and partnerships. We are excited about building on this success and look forward to what’s in store for the coming years.”
2021 is set to be another very exciting year for the BDB team with more exciting opportunities arising.
This year, Billion Dollar Boy is honoured to be part of the Mayor’s International Business Programme Creative Industries Virtual Trade Mission to Europe alongside the very best of London’s creative industries. Over the coming weeks, the team will be virtually connecting with local partners in Paris, Amsterdam, Copenhagen, Stockholm and Berlin to explore new business opportunities.
